(Venus trading outpost, Dunged Frostleaf pub)
[2/15
AR 23:36]
~There are many holes where one can hide on this
little stretch of space. Some look for those holes to hide their pain or
just to shun away from society to do shady business. Whatever the
reason, those that dwell in such darkness probably know of one little
corner on Venus, where the atmosphere is dim, where you can enjoy a
glass of your favourite beverage and nobody asks you about your
business. Welcome to the ''Kuppek ppoypkeap'' (Dunged
Frostleaf) pub. The moto of this 'esteemed' establishment is
simple ''You come, you mind yo business, you live''
Finding
such a legally questionable pub sounds like a tough deal but it would
only take just a walk away from the main hustle and bustle of the
outpost and in to the mish mash of dull lit streets. A poster with a
frostleaf with a steaming pile of shit on top of it hangs above the
doorstep, signalling the entrance ~
Sonera
A digital bell like sound rings out as the door to the pub is
opened, nobody really pays in any intention as it's more a call to
the barman than to the corner hugging customers. A very short and nimble
figure steps in, all dressed up in dark close fitting robes which look
like their owner ran through spikes recently, her face covered up by a
childish grineer mask. The figure stands by the entrance for a moment,
scanning the surrounding.
The inside of the bar is small but cosy with a handful of people
chatting about with their group or some just sitting in corners and
drinking in peace. There are many wooden tables lined up across the
middle of the floor while soft cushy booths hug along the left wall of
the room for the more gropey types. The bar is located right of the
entrance with stools accompanying it which almost occupy the entire
side. Past the tables at the opposite side of the entrance is a small
staircase coiling up to a second floor which most regulars know as the
general “meeting” area. The lighting of the establishment is
purposely dim, giving it a chilling vibe as if one just walked in to a
murder scene. There is a hushed rhythmic hum playing in the background
of something akin to a classical beat, breathing some life in to this
room. The general smell of the pub is a mix of alcohol, old wood and
sour metal, probably the cause of the old building that had it's
last checkup 50 years ago.
The masked figure looks towards
the bar and walks towards it. There is a big screen mounted up, behind
it, for everyone to see if they wished, but it did not broadcast a game
or a show, it in fact showed a cephalon. The octagon shaped projection
twirled towards the approaching customer and with a flicker of orange
lights spoke up
“[Corpus] Welcome to the Dunged Frostleaf, I am Cephalon Palak,
your bartender for the night. What is your taste?”
The masked and tattered figure peeks out, standing on toes “Mapriqo liquor please?”
“[Corpus]Coming right up!”
The Cephalon took a spin around on it's axis, as if
happy, and from the door at the back of the bar came a moa accompanied
by a scavenger drone. The mechanical creatures stopped in front of the
figure and the drone dipped down the bar to fetch a glass, flying up and
gently putting it on the counter. The moa dips it's head and poured
the desired drink in to the glass from it's modified muzzle, careful
not to stir and cause too much foam.
“[Corpus]Please enjoy your stay with us”
The Cephalon ads as the moa heads back through the door,
the scavenger drone adding a little umbrella in the glass before backing
away from the bar to loom in case it's needed.
The
figure grabs hold of the glass and nods towards the Cephalon as a
thanks. She turns around towards the room and leans with a elbow on the
counter for that cool effect – which only made her look silly as
she’s obviously too short to reach the counter with her elbow. Her
clouded eyes scan the crowd for something.

???:
The digital bell sounds again, betraying the silent entrance of a
curious woman. She wore a tight, grey bodysuit of some sort of carbon
weave underneath sections of light-weight alloy armour. The pieces of
dull white protection guarded her breast and lower legs, along with
parts on her arm and elbows. Her face was hidden behind a white helmet
that fit to her head, unlike the typical bulky corpus fashion. It
featured a neon light-blue visor with a pentagonal shape in the middle
and two slits coming out at diagonal angles, and one slit leading down
towards her mouth. A single cepstra resided on her hip.
The
newcomer walked slowly up to the bar with a relaxed and sauntering step,
inconspicuously scanning the tables in her peripherals for something.
The woman plopped down on a seat at the counter and turned her attention
to the screen, waiting for the cephalon to serve her. She seemed to have
not noticed the girl in dark robes next to her.
June 15, 2018
~The orange octagon Cephalon whirled towards the newcomer at the sound
of the bell and with a flow of pulsating lights, he speaks to her in his
usual manner.
”[Corpus]Welcome to the Dunged Frostleaf, I am Cephalon Palak,
your bartender for the night. What is your taste?[Corpus]”~
Sonera
My ears tingle along with the bell which announce the appearance
of someone but I don’t turn my head to grab a look at the
newcomer, instead I slightly lift my mask up to free my mouth but still
keeping most of my face in it’s shadow…apart from the dark
markings on my chin. I take a sip off my liquor and quickly scan the
customers in the pub with dull forest green eyes.
There are
three off duty miners occupying one of the tables closer to the
entrance, they talk in hushes between themselves, probably about their
daily struggles. There is a lonesome guy sitting in one of the booths
with four emphty glasses on the table in front of him. Four
hoodlums sitting round a table closer to the staircase, they argue and
laugh as they play cards with stacks of credits next to each of them.
Finally, there is a old woman, seemingly passed out on the bar.
I frown ”Not here…he told me it’s today!” I grit my teeth and whip around to face the bar just as the
figure sat down next to me. I subtly glance towards her from the corner
of my eye, my gaze flowing from her hooded head to her boots. ”Nice curves…but…it’s that asking for
trouble?” I think, gazing at her cestra for a second. With a shrug I lean
towards her and whisper
“[Corpus]Careful with that, people in here go mad over the slightest of
things[Corpus]”

???:
“[Corpus] I’ll just take a shot of Bpan-fruit Brandy
for now, and if you got a hint of frost-leaf that’d be good too,
[Corpus]” the woman declared in a modulated voice. Her speech was
garbled enough to obscure the sound of her real voice, yet not to the
extent that it sounded unnatural.
Upon hearing the little
girl’s voice, the lady whipped around to face her. She paused for
a moment, studying the child with a masked expression (quite literally).
“[Corpus] I know hun, but this time is a special case.
[Corpus]” she responded in her natural light-hearted tone,
swinging her legs around to bring her body to face the girl. She cocked
her head slightly. “[Corpus] Here for… a drink?
[Corpus]”
Seeing little girls enter bars such as this
one was not something the lady hadn’t seen before, but definitely
was something she wasn’t used to. Usually the kids able to strut
around wherever they want could do so because they were related to some
top-brass. No one would dare rebuke a child belonging to someone like
the vice-president of Karyo Corp, but one would more than gladly keep an
inflated tab. Of course, that meant this woman would also have to watch
her own mouth too.
Cephalon Palak
”Ohh! But of course! Forstleaf is our specialty here. Coming
right up!”
The Cephalon expressed with glee and the Scavenger Drove
that’s been silently floating in the back whizzed towards the
counter and dipped down to fetch a glass, bringing it up to gently put
in front of the lady before backing out to fetch something else. At the
same time a Railgun Moa came forth from the back door and stomped
towards the counter, it lowers it’s modified muzzle towards the
glass and gently pours the desired drink from it. It takes two steps
backwards and waits. Just then the scavenger drone comes flying back
with a piece of frostleaf and plops it down in the glass.
”Enjoy your stay”
The Cephalon wiggles out as the moa turns to head back
through the door while the scavenger goes around the pub to collect
loose glasses
Sonera
I let out a low chuckle and take a swing from my glass
”Special? A double-edged choice of words, yes yes”
I nod my head in confirmation and lean with my left elbow
on the counter to rest my chin on the back of my left palm as I look
towards the woman to my right. I smirk, which is visible and say in my
pipping voice
”You could say that, to relax, the silence, yes yes. Or maybe
I’m just waiting for the fun! This pub is known for the occasional
trashin’”
My legs start slowly swaying from the bar stool and kicking
in excitement, like how a dogs tail starts wagging when it receives
attention.
”How about yourself?” I lean in ”Assuming you’re not gonna blow my head off for asking
that” I smile a toothy grin at her and pull back in to my previously
established pose. It's not so unknown that people get blown up in
this pub...which is sort of hard to connect compared to the chipper
bartender.

???:
The lady judged the child as quite sharp for her age. While she
portrayed a light-hearted childish demeanour, she felt a lot... sturdier
than anybody in her age group. Like she could handle herself easily.
Intrigued, the masked woman conversed further.
“Ketiyk
pke pkoujkp,” she replied, waving her hand down at the child,
“I’d never harm a cutie like you. I’m just here for
some bpan.” she replied. Her voice seemed to bounce around weakly,
as if its natural joyous state was weighed down heavily by weariness.
Which it indeed was. It had been a very long week for the curvy woman,
but the atmosphere of the bar was already healing her.
Yellow Corpus:
“Bro, these Solaris United folks kind of creep me
out,” a Helmeted, yellow jumpsuit-clad Corpus said as he entered
the bar. “They’re pretty much just brains in jars walking
around.”
Orange Corpus:
“Big bro, that’s basically what a Warframe is,”
a second Corpus, who looked identical from the outside other than a
different coloured suit, followed in behind the yellow one.
“Anyways, get over it. This place is great. Used to come here all
the time secretly during breaks when I worked at Anyocorp.”
The
two Corpus approaches the bar, the Orange one pausing behind the lady
sitting next to Sonera, pausing as he looked up and down her back in a
blatant admiration of her body.
“Heyyyyy babygirl, what is
going on?” He said as smoothly as possible while swerving around
her to lean on the bar next to her, in between Sonera and the lady. He
took off his helmet, revealing a grinning face coated in usual Corpus
tattoos as he sat down in the seat.
Behind him, the Yellow Corpus
didn’t move at all, but somehow through the red light of his
visor, it was easy to visualize his eyes rolling.
June 21, 2018
Sonera
I chuckled under my breath at her kind words. ”Is this real? Must be yes! Never thought I’d run in to
someone like her in this place…no no! Wait! I indulge?” I thought for a second, pondering on the mission at hand.
I
smile at her “Well you came to th-“
“Heyyyyy babygirl, what is going on?”
the leering voice broke my train of speech and I reel back in my
position so to make room for the pushy Corpus. ”Whoa! So needy”
I glance towards the yellow one and smirk at his obvious
eye roll. I swerve my forest green eyes back to look the orange back and
tilt my head ”Observe? Yes! Let’s see!” I take a swing off my drink and get in a more comfortable
“viewing” position. What? It’s fun to watch things in
their natural habitat! "Damn....I wish I had a straw right now"
June 24, 2018
???:
The girl let out a quiet sigh. Unfortunately, dealing with fools
hitting on her wasn’t rare at all, so she tried to keep concealed
as much as possible. Jeez, I knew I should’ve gone back for my coat, she groaned to herself, I just want a driiiiinkkkkk~~
She examined the crewman next to her. While the woman felt
that getting on bad terms with the child next to her was a bad idea,
this bozo didn’t seem like much. Plus, she also had her own
backers that regarded her with importance, so she wasn’t exactly a
bottom-rung on the societal ladder. Still, it was always good to be
safe. You never know how much influence someone has until they start
chasing you off-planet with hyena proxies.
She grabbed hold
of her pinkish, slushie drink and turned to face the orange man, fixing
her posture. “Hey now,” she responded, bringing back some
cheer in her voice, “are you really that desperate for a drink?
The bartender's over there.” She pointed up at the monitor
from which the cephalon had appeared in.
June 25, 2018
Orange Corpus:
“A drink? Heh, this place’s got some of the best
liquids in the system.” He waves at the drone. “Hey! If you
still have me on file, go ahead and give me my usual!”
Yellow Corpus:
He grumbled to the lady. “My Name is Halcyon Prodman, and
this is my dickhole, Cyrus.”
Cyrus (Orange Corpus):
“You mean brother,” he grinned as he set his helmet
down on the bar. It was adorned with blue paint, with crazy-behaving
lines making abstract graffiti patterns all over the sides and top.
Halcyon (Yellow Corpus):
He grumbled as he pulled himself in a wide circle to the seat on
the opposite side of Sonera. Up close, Sonera could see that his helmet
had cleanly designed stripes of shining, metallic gold that accented the
base shape of the helmet.
“What a pain in the rear,
eh?” He said gruffly, pulling his helmet off. It revealed his
face- it was weathered and wrinkled, a grey moustache sitting under his
nose and a tuft of curly grey hair perched upon the top of his head.
Below that, his skin bore similar markings; Corpus Tattoos.
“Get
me a Guana on the rocks,” the old Corpus asked at the drone.
Cephalon Palak
The projected octagon rolls towards the two Corpus and slightly
moves, as if hopping in place
“Ahh Cyrus and Halcyon,
good to see you back. And of course! The regular coming right
up”
The drone, after completing it’s round of the
bar, sets glasses in front of the two and the usual Moas walk out of the
door behind the bar to pour the two corpus their drinks before vanishing
once again behind it.
Sonera
I observe the two brothers and smirk at myself as I take a sip
off my drink ”Not what I looked for but…can pass the time faster like
this!” I glance over my shoulder to the hooligans playing cards by the
table and then to the door “Yeah! Maybe late”
I look towards the yellow one as he takes a seat “A
pain? No no! More like a unexpected distraction, wouldn’t you
agree?” I throw the question at the lady as I glance at her with a
grin.
“Tell tell, is it shift end?”
I
ask the yellow one as my gaze twirls back to him.
June 27, 2018
???:
“Ah, glad you’re around to reign him in then,”
the lady mused as a small plate in front of her mouth opened, revealing
her smiling lips. She brought her glass up to her mouth and took a
sip.
“Hey hun, you’re on your own there,”
she replied to the child with a chuckle, raising her hands in defence.
She read the light-hearted atmosphere and eased up a little. The two
corpus before her didn’t seem to have malicious intent.
“Guana?”
the lady remarked upon hearing Halcyon’s request. She rose an
eyebrow from underneath her helmet, “that’s quite an
expensive taste you have there, but I don’t blame you. I hear
it’ll knock you senseless real quick.”
June 28, 2018
Halcyon:
The old Corpus downed the glass with a single gulp, giving a
short grimace before chuckling.
"Same old, same gold," he
sighed contently before returning his focus to Sonera. "Now what
was that? Shift end? What do you mean by that?"
Cyrus:
"So who are you, and what are you doing in a place like
this?" Cyrus asked the lady. He took a sip of his own drink, which
was a curious mix of green, opaque liquid that periodically released a
small swirl of glowing, luminescent blue within its nebulous contents.
"You don't look like a Corpus, or Solaris United. And you
definitely aren't a Tenno."
June 29, 2018
Sonera
I tilt my head to the side, smiling at the Corpus “The
shift! Ya know?! Clocking in the working day…or…do you not
work on this outpost?”
A sudden realization hit me, and
my face twists in horror – not that anyone could see due to the
mask. I reach out to grab on to his wrist with a gentle touch as I look
straight at his eyes.
“Oh shi – I mean darn! Was
that racist?!”
I look at the yellow one with a
semi-confused look. I’ve always classified people but more of
their personality and not looks. I mean…they all look the same!
With their jumpsuits and hats…the Grineer on the other hand I can
handle more, they’re quirky. ”Wait! Is that racist? No NAH”
???
A couple of moments after that and the digital bell rings out yet
again and through the door two figures step through. The one on the left
is a boy of medium height, dressed in heavy Ostron robes. He has short
spiky blonde hair and the smuggest look on his pretty-boy face. The one
on the right is a Atlas warframe, adorning soil like colors which
consist of a wide range of brown shades and strapped on to the frame
there is a Tekko and a normal Tigris.
The duo walk over to
the miners table and the Ostron draped teenager slams it.
“Scram”
The miners all look up,
clearly pissed but their expressions quickly turn to horror as they spot
the Atlas warframe standing next to the boy. They get up and scurry past
them, walking out the door while mumbling all kind of curses ranging
from “Damn void demons” to “Fucking Billy” Who
is Billy? Heck If I know!
The boy and Atlas sit down by the
table, with him leaning back and throwing his legs up on the table.
“Oy!
The usual here!”
The Scavenger drone from behind the
counter comes flying towards the table, picking up the miners abandoned
drinks and bringing them to the dirty dishes dispenser bellow the bar.
It returns to the table with a pair of glasses, accompanied by a Moa
which fills the two glasses with some glowing green liquid.
The
boy snags one of the glasses and downs it, slamming the glass down
“Ahhh!
This is some good shit! You should try it”
He says to
the Atlas. The warframe just lets out a low hum and shakes his head, as
if disapproving of his friends behavior. ~

???:
“I’m a lady of many names,” the woman
responded, giving a jovial chuckle, “but I guess I’ll give
you one: Enya. I’m just here for a drink to be honest.” She
glanced around the room quickly again. “And I actually am Corpus,
I just don’t like their fashion sense.”
She took
another sip of her drink when the bell rung again. This time an Atlas
stepped through the darkened door. Enya almost choked on her drink.
“Guts,”
she cursed under her breath. From the times she’s been here, Enya
hadn’t seen any Tenno show up at all. Although, she did hear
people talk about them visiting occasionally. In her experience,
wherever there was a Tenno there was trouble. And carnage, usually. She
had seen a lot of what they could do in the past, and didn’t feel
like reliving those memories.
An Atlas-type warframe. Hmm. Something about creating stone
minions, she pondered, trying to remember her classes, Probably able to bring the entire place down on us if we’re not
careful.
Enya leaned over and tapped the monitor that the cephalon
had come from. “Can I pay for this drink right now?”
July 1, 2018
Cyrus:
He giggled at Enya’s obvious discomfort at the sight of the
Tenno. He himself had plenty of experience working both with and against
Tenno. He had even experienced the pleasure of killing some.
“Troublemakers,
you think?” He said with a sly smile. “Don’t worry too
much about it. If those fellows decide to pull something, me ‘n my
bro here will deal with it, he said with a wink.
Halcyon:
As if to punctuate Cyrus’ point, the old Corpus
unceremoniously thunked the unmistakable shape of a ‘Corpus Nullification Zone
Projector’ onto the bar. It was a device infamous at interrupting
transference signals and inhibiting Void energy channels.
“Meh,”
The Yellow-clad Corpus sighed while taking another drink from his glass
and turning back towards Sonera.
“So who’re you?
Obviously a Tenno- I can tell because of those eyes.” Halcyon
casually pointed unintrusively at the general direction of her face. He
must have had pretty good eyesight for his age to notice the glowing
eyeballs hidden behind the Grineer mask.”
Cephalon Palak
He twirled towards the hooded lady and something akin to a smile
spread across the orange octagon
“Of course! That would
be 800 credits. But! Happy time is soon starting, and there are special
drinks going around then”
The Scavenger drone looms
behind the bar, waiting to schoop up the credits if the lady wished to
pay
Sonera
My gaze twirls to the new arrivals and a devious grin started to
spread across my lips “It’s true! Yes yes! He’s here! For once the info
wasn’t tinkered!” I feel a itch crawling up from my fingertips, like nerves zapping
with electricity in anticipation to a oncoming storm. I’ve been
hunting this bastard for years and years! ”How man is that? Can I even remember? BAH!” But he’s finally here, in front of my eyes, and I will have
him spill what I need to know!
“So who’re you? Obviously a Tenno- I can tell because of those eyes.”
”Huh?”
I blink and tear my eyes from
the duo to look back at the yellow Corpus sitting next to me. ”Ah yes! I have buddies…can’t go apeshit…calm
calm” I clear my throat and plaster that familiar smile on to my masked
face
“Yes yes, very good observation! Through the mask
would help but EH! Can’t hide beauty”
I let out a
giggle at my own obvious sarcastic words
“Just call me
Stoirin, a floater! Came here for fun. But you didn’t
mention…you two work here or on a job hunt?”
July 2, 2018
Hoodlums
One of the hoodlums playing cards, a Corpus dressed in a white
jumpsuit, yells out. “Ehhh!? You’re cheating! No way in hell
did you pull out another Kuva Queen out of the deck”
The
one sitting opposite of the very large fellow, is a Corpus of muscular
size wearing a very sleek and sharp suit made out of fine leather.
“Oh but I did! Read em and weep fellas!”
He gets
up from his seat and pulls the pile of credits from the center of
the table, stacking them neatly next to him. The white dressed fella and
his friend spew random corpus curse words and stand up from the table,
heading out the door, skinned like rats.
The ones left by the
table is the sharp dressed Corpus and a hugely muscular fella dressed in
very loose dark robes, his dark brown hair cut short and sitting on his
plump head like thin grass.
The well dressed asks the large
one "One more round? Or wait for more victims?" The large one
simply shrugs as the elegant one starts shuffling the deck.
???
The blonde haired Tenno looks towards the hoodlums table and smirks
“What about a quickie eh?”
He starts
getting up but the Atlas warframe reaches out and grabs on to the Ostron
robes of the boy, keeping him firmly in place. The waframe says nothing,
and as expressionless as ever, just stares at him. The boy let’s
out a heavy sigh and plops back in his seat.
“Yeah
yeah…I get all kinds of crazy...gotta keep it straight for the
meeting eh? ” He gulps down another shot and crosses his hands
over his chest.

Enya:
Enya pulled out a handful of bronze-coloured credits and plopped
them onto the counter. She turned back to Cyrus and saw the nullifier.
“Whoa! That’s some pricy gear you have there.
Whose corpse did you snag that from?” Enya remarked. She reached
up with a finger and tapped the side of her helmet, “But you
don’t have to worry about me, I am more prepared in these
situations than meets the eye. I appreciate the backup though.”
She
took another sip of her drink before catching the conversation between
Halcyon and the girl. Ah, that would make too much sense, she thought, pieces starting to fit together in her mind about
their interaction, Scrap, I better keep calm for now.
She continued acting nonchalantly as blood rushed to her
head in stress. “So Cryus, what are you and your brother doing
around here.”
Halcyon:
"Nah, we ain't here for a job," Halcyon responded
to Sonera. "Just a drink, for old times' sakes. It's been
so long, so busy. We've got work waiting for us everywhere and
anywhere in the system. You just have to know where to look." The
old man winked as he downed the drink and tapped the glass on the
counter, trying to get the attention of the cephalon for a refill.
Cyrus:
"Pricy? Hah! Not when you make it yourself!"
Cyrus tapped his head and grinned. "I went to school for
technology. Corpus Tech for a number of years. I even built the
Jackal!"
Halcyon:
"Did you mention your dick is the size of a Galatine?"
He said sarcastically from the corner of his mouth without looking at
Cyrus.
Cyrus:
He rolled his eyes. "Alright, fine I didn't build the
Jackal... but I do build my own stuff. My brother and I don't like
to spend money a whole lot, so any chance I get to build something from
scrap, I take it. Of course, it's all made by hand- wish I could get
my hands on one of those Tenno foundry units!"
July 7, 2018
Sonera
My face lit up with excitement
“Builders?! Yes
yes! I’m looking for something like that to build
a…um…funhouse of some sort!” I speak up so that both
can hear me. My gaze travels to Cyrus
“I came in to a
bit of monnie so the cost is no problem friendo!”
I
chuckled, more to myself and my idea that my funhouse dream could
finally be a reality. Well…I still don’t know if
they’re that good but seeing as how one of them made a pocket
nullifier I’d say that they could build something as silly as a
bouncy castle.
July 9, 2018
Enya:
Enya’s head ducked forward as she put a hand to her mouth,
stifling the ending of a giggle at Halcyon’s retort.
“Well that’s pretty impressive,” she
remarked with a glint in her eye, “I personally am forced to buy
my gear from more experienced people in that trade, so it’s always
good to meet a new supplier.”
Enya took out a small
piece of metal from a pocket on her sleek abdomen. On it was engraved a
Corpus Communications Serial ID, one the woman used this communications
line for official business purposes. She slid it across the counter to
Cyrus.
“If you’re willing to make some money on
the side, I could use your help every now and again to create some
special items.”
~On the back of the metal tag is a
simple symbol of a cipher cut in two. On the front it reads the
following:
Enya Eclipse
Espionage, sabotage, personal
requests
SPLITTING CIPHERS~
???
The door to the pub opened and the bell sound played as a young
man with dark skin entered. He was wearing an angular outfit made of
metallic green fabric which shimmered with a reflection of every light
he passed. Most of his head was shaved, revealing a flat metal implant
at the back of his head. It matched a similar implant on the side of his
forehead, surrounded by slightly darkened void-scarring. Coppery somatic
implants on his face glittered faintly as he strode confidently to the
bar and slid into an open seat, paying little attention to the other
patrons aside from a brief glance.
Overall, he seemed a
little too high-class for a place like this, but that didn't seem to
deter him. "What have you got that's on the fancier side?"
he asked smoothly, leaning a casual elbow on the bar and crossing one
leg over the other.
Cyrus:
“Eclipse, huh?” He said with a smile, “what a
mysterious name. What are you doing later, by the way? Maybe we can meet
up and I can... unveil some of your mystery?” He took a sip from
his glass and glanced sideways at the newcomer. He spat out his sip.
Halcyon:
“Hey bro, what the m-“
Cyrus:
“GEORDIE?!” He exclaimed, standing up suddenly,
knocking over his glass and stool. “Is that you!!?? No way in Nef
Anyo’s Void are you- seriously!!?? You’re one of the- oh my
void,” Cyrus made an interesting sound comprised of a mix between
a laugh, crying, and flat out screaming. “Right under my voiddamn
nose the entire time!?” He slapped the counter.
“It’s
a good thing I already got paid, because if my employer found out about
this, oh my Void would I be unpaid as muck right now!”
He
walked over to the Tenno. “5 months ago and I would’ve
killed you already if I found out about this!”
July 10, 2018
Cephalon Palak
The orange octagon swooshes on the big screen above the bar to
look at the new comer. With what looks like a smile on it’s
geometrical face, it speaks up in a light, bird like voice that sounds
just as cheerful
“Ah! Welcome to the Dunged Frostleaf,
I will be your bartender for the night. Now…there are many fancy
drinks. But! If you really have deep pockets I would advise grabbing the
Vay Hek’s Gene Juice! The taste is better than it sounds”
He
then pauses as screaming ensued short after
Sonera
“Uhhhh…”
I lean back in my seat to
take a better look of the newcomer and at the way one of the Corpus bros
just went all school girl on the spot. ”Oh yes yes…a loving reunion…this will take a
while” I take a sip off my drink and lean with my elbow on to the
counter, my eyes dancing between Cyrus, then the flashy af Tenno and
then back at the woman. With a smile I scooch a bit closer to her just
to see a glance of her card as she slid it across the counter. With a
smirk I slur towards her
“Tell tell, what falls under
personal request? Can I hire you for tea time?”
I smile
as my thoughts travel back to my overcrowded Orbiter, at the many
“tea companions” I already have stacked up. ”AH! I need to do another sweep up there!”
???
The blonde haired Tenno frowned as the shouting went round.
“Fricking…” He muttered angry under his breath as he
whipped in his seat towards the bar and the shouting Corpus
“EY!
Buddy! Some of us are trying to enjoy the mood of the place eh?! Pipe
down!”
He huffs under his nose, glaring at Cyrus.
Honestly, some people and their excitements
Geordie
Geordie was about to order the fancy drink the cephalon had
recommended when Cyrus noticed him. He flinched slightly when Cyrus
shouted his name, smiling awkwardly.
"That...doesn't
mean you're still going to kill me, does it?" he asked,
shrinking away from the larger man ever-so-slightly. "Listen, I
wasn't lying when I told you I was just there for business. I
wasn't going to shut anything down. Uh...at least not till after I
got what I was looking for. Then I was just planning on anonymously
giving the info to someone else and washing my hands of the whole
thing." he hesitated, adding another "please don't kill
me" for good measure.
Enya:
Enya took the opportunity to ignore Cyrus’s playmaking when
he distracted himself with the new customer. She leaned over the bar
table in order to get a look at the now unveiled Tenno, her optical
lenses flashing at the Tenno’s question.
“For the
right price, I don’t see why not,” Enya replied.
She
took another sip of her alcoholic beverage. The lady was regretting not
asking for a virgin variant, as she didn’t enjoy paying for some
useless alcohol.
July 12, 2018
Cyrus:
He chuckled as he closed the distance and wrapped his arm around
Geordie’s shoulder. There was the familiar but faint sound of
whirring as he moved; the unmistakable sound of his exoskeleton.
“Kill
you?” He giggled before his face turned stone cold and deadly
serious.
“I take my work very seriously, Geordie. I’m
damn good at it. One of the best. I always, ALWAYS, get the job
done.”
Geordie would have felt the barrel of something poking
into his chest.
“No matter what it takes, I’ll always
finish the job.”
...
Of course, if and when Geordie
looks down to see what weapon Cyrus was threatening him with, he would
see only one gun; the finger gun.
Cyrus released Geordie with a
mighty guffaw.
“Hwaaaaaa hahahahahahaha!!” Cyrus
slapped his pants, “oh man! Your face! Hahaha! Chill out man, I
already finished my job! As far as I’m concerned I got paid, so
why the muck would I kill you? Ain’t no money in that!
Aaaahhhahahahahahaha!! Tell you what, lemme buy you a drink!”
Halcyon:
“FOR THE LOVE OF VOID, SHUT THE MUCK UP! Could you be
anymore loud?! Nef Anyo on a stick!” He then turned towards the
blonde Tenno.
“Sorry about him.”
Cyrus:
He waved off the Tenno with an elegantly formed middle finger.
“Buzz
off, you 8-year-old space magician.” He sneered before turning
back to Geordie.
???
“You fucking…” The blonde haired Tenno sneered
as he got up from his seat, his empty glass tightly clenched in his left
hand. “…degenerate” However, he doesn’t make a
move towards the bar just yet, but stands near his chair, pointing with
his free hand at the Corpus in a furious manner, his face wrinkled by
madness. “Show some respect for those that saved this
system!”
Hoodlums
The duo by the table freeze and look up from their cards to look
at the tension. They exchange glances between themselves but otherwise
do nothing.
Sonera
”Oh boy! This is getting juicy! Yes yes!” My gaze jumping from the enraged Tenno to the showman like
Corpus, a wide grin on my face. ”No no! can’t let them kill each other! OR! Maybe see? Yes
yes!”
I glance at the lady by the bar and motion with my hand to
the hoodlums table “Step out of the firing range? With a game of
cards?”
Worth a shot to try and step out of the boys
ways, cause at the endo f the day boys will be boys and right now there
are a LOT of boys at this pub. Better to let them do their stuff if it
comes to it…and well…I’m sure Palak won’t
stand for anything above a simple bar squabble.
Geordie
Geordie went pale as he felt the weapon push against his chest.
He put a hand on Cyrus' arm 'holding' the 'weapon'.
"W-wait..."
Then he looked down and saw Cyrus' finger
gun, and his face went on a journey of expressions starting with
terrified and moving through startled, confused, and relieved. "Oh
my void, you got me!" he said, finding the laughter contagious.
"I was worried I'd have to give you an elevator-pitch sob
story! A drink would be nice, if you can afford the kind of things that
suit my tastes?" he said with a grin.
He leaned back
slightly to look at the blonde tenno. "Hey, don't worry about
it," he smiled reassuringly, "the situation is under control!
We're all friends here, see?" He gave Cyrus a pat on the
shoulder.
"OH! Speaking of which, I think this belongs
to you?" Geordie asked, producing a Spectra from behind his back -
though there was no holster to be seen, and the gun came form seemingly
nowhere.
July 13, 2018
Enya:
Enya shifted in her chair uncomfortably due to the tension in the
atmosphere. While her blood turned stone-cold the moment she found out
the true identity of the child she had been conversing with, it
wasn’t like the woman was mortified of all Tenno. She just
hadn’t run into many… particularly mature ones in her past
line of work. Once you got to know them, one could find plenty an
egotistical and arrogant Tenno. And the worst thing was that you had to
just deal with it. They were way too powerful. Ah, scrap it. I guess I’ll call it a night.
Enya eyed her half-finished drink. There wasn’t much
point to finishing it off in a rush. The Corpus lady figured that she
wouldn’t be able to enjoy it, and it’d just provide her with
unnecessary calories. With a quick, high-pitched whirr her mouth plate
slid back into place and the lights on her mask flickered.
“Let
me know if you’re interested Cyrus,” Enya called out as she
walked towards the exit. She attempted to maintain a calm demeanour, but
couldn’t help moving at a slightly quickened pace.
July 14, 2018
Cyrus:
The Corpus man frowned slightly as he watched the lady's hips
sway hypnotically away from him. He sighed. "I had a decent chance
I feel like," he said sadly as he ordered the drink from Palak for
Geordie.
Halcyon:
"Stop thinking with your membrane and use your voiddamn head
you yuyk. Besides, you got her card. You'll always have a second shot, even
though I guarantee you'll miss then as well." He tapped his own
glass on the bar. "Oy! Code-brain! Refill here, eh?"
Cyrus:
He sighed and ignored the blonde Tenno with but an eyeroll.
"Thank goodness not all Tenno are as high and mighty as that
varmink fornicator, eh?" he muttered to Geordie.
July 15, 2018
~Looks like this just wasn’t Enya’s day. As she reached the
exit the door hissed open but instead of being greeted by the cool night
air, she is hit by a gust of heat. There, blocking the doorway is a
ashen white Ember warframe, the light blue fire bristling and crackling
as it rises from her. The warframe doesn't make a move from the door
and just stands there, ignoring the Corpus woman as the head head
through the crowd, as if looking for something~
Sonera, Berog and Nekal
The blonde haired Tenno – Berog – his Atlas companion
– Nekal - and Sonera, quickly glance towards the entrance as it
ringed open, his anger momentarily forgotten and her curiosity quickly
quenched as their eyes land on the Ember. A mixture of surprise and
horror plasters across their face as they yell out the only word that
came to mind.
“SHIT”
~The somber
atmosphere is quickly replaced by chaos as the Ember locks eyes with the
blond Tenno and in a sheer show of fury lifts her right arm to slam the
ground, sending a shockwave of fire through the bar, scorching anything
caught in the radius. Tables flip and chairs are set asunder from the
heatwave~
Geordie
“Ohjeez-“ He gasped, immediately replaced by a
shimmering green volt. Orange-gold sparks danced around his feet as he
ducked under Cyrus’ arm and sprinted for the door. He would have
pulled Cyrus with him, but in the tiny moment he had to think while
waiting to transfer into his frame, he remembered his friend’s
exoskeleton, and decided to let him make his own way out.
And
so he sprinted for the door on his own, shoving the ember aside and
running until he was out of range of both the fire itself and the
Ember’s potential wrath. Once at a distance he deemed safe, he
skidded to a stop and peered inside nervously.
July 16, 2018
Enya:
“Wha--”
BOOM
The air shook violently as the initial shock wave crashed
into Enya at point blank range, blasting her backwards with incredible
force. She slammed into the ground hard and slid a few meters before
crashing into the overturned table behind her. Alarms were blaring from
inside her suit and a ‘dangerously high temperature’ alert
had popped up on the heads-up display. The suit began shifting around
some movable components to disperse the heat, but the Corpus woman lay
limp in her fallen position, not stirring.
Cyrus:
“Heads up bro!” Cyrus dived sideways, tackling
Halcyon to the floor over the bar counter, covering his older
brother’s body with his own. The flames licked his jump suit,
fortunately resisting complete ignition due to the fire retardants in
the material. The deadly heat however, Cyrus managed to block out
with his bodysuit.
Halcyon:
“Oorghhhh...! My back! I’m getting too old for this.
This is why I don’t do the field work anymore!” Halcyon
groaned from underneath his brother.
Cyrus:
He kept his head tucked down to protect it, since his helmet
wasn’t on.
“Think we’re in the middle of a grudge
brawl between Tenno!”
Halcyon:
“Oh for Void’s sakes! Grab the nullifier and our
helmets before we get toasted!”
Cyrus:
The young Crewman jumped up off of his brother after the initial
wave of fire ravaged the bar. He grabbed their helmets- ouch!
Metal’s hot!- and then the nullifier- ooh! Also hot!- and dropped
them next to Halcyon on the floor.
“I saw that lady!”
Cyrus called to Halcyon over the fire, “she’s unconscious it
looks like! I’m gonna go grab her!”
Halcyon:
“Alright! Turn around, penis-for-brains! Put this
on!” He spin his brother around and strapped the nullifier pack
into Cyrus’ back.
“There! Always use
protection!”
Cyrus:
Cyrus hopped over the counter, engaging the nullifier bubble
field to protect himself. He began to trudge through the chaos towards
Enya.
July 17, 2018
Cephalon Palak
“What is the meaning of this!? Cease this savegery at once
or –“
The Cephalon was cut short as a fireball
was hurled towards it, cracking the screen and turning it blank.
Sonera
“Oh Hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh”
Before the blastwave
could ragdoll me and scorch away my face, I quickly leaped forward to
take refuge behind the counter and waste no time in coiling myself in
to a little ball for minimal damage. Soon enough the blastwave
tore through the place, setting most of the wooden chairs and tables on
fire, but the bar seemed to remain intact from the initial
wave…albeit it did catch fire on the closest part to the
Ember.
”Hek hek hek hek HEK! Why is she here?!''
I quickly scurry up to my feet and pull myself up to peek
from beyond my spot to the now destroyed bar. The drunk dude that was
sitting by the booth wasn't by there anymore, his body flinged to
the wall in a painful angle…probably dead. The two hoodlums
playing cards flipped their table and are now hiding behind it in clear
panic. The drunk lady by the bar is eh…where is she? I stand on
my toes to glance if she's still somewhere but it's as if she
vanished.
Ah!
My gaze drifts to my previous
converse companions to see one of them unconcious on the floor and the
two goofballs barely alive.
Berog
Unfortunetly for Berog, he caught the full frontal blast of the
heatwave, seeing as how he and his Atlas companion were sitting by the
table closest to the door. The heat tore through his clothes,
scorched his face and hair and flinged him back from his standing
position to lie flat on his back, unconcious. Most of his exposed flesh
now twisted and burned by the fire.
Nekal
The Atlas on the other hand held his ground, the blast doing
little to move him from his chair…even when it caught fire, he
just continued to sit there for a second after, like how a rock sits
calmly at the bottom of a raging river. However, as soon as it hit him
what just happened he swiftly stands up, fists raised, feet dancing. But
then he just freezes in place, as if his Operator ejected for some
reason and yet is nowhere to be seen. So the Atlas warframe stands
locked in place, all energy draining from him due to the absence of his
operator.
Ember
She sees the shiny green Volt charge towards her but she just
steps to the side to let him through since she doesn't care about
him nor about anyone else in this place for that matter. She steps
inside, each stomp followed by added pulses of heat that radiate off
her. She simply sidesteps around any debries and ignores the nully
encrusted Corpus that is making his way towards the unconscious lady on
the floor. With calm, rhythmic strides she dances round the frozen
Atlas, to the blond Tenno and bends down to grab him by the neck, her
flaming hand sizzling his skin on contact and yet he remains knocked
out.
Sonera
My gaze shifts from the Corpus brothers to the Ember and back.
Salvage the situation and escape with Berog, which would expose myself?
Or help the civilians? ”Ahhhhh! I can’t summon him! She’ll know I’m
here. No no!”
I push myself off the counter and crouch walk
towards the moa door. There should be other proxies inside that Palak
couldn’t activate, security drones right? I put my hands in the
slit and try to pry it open.
~Geordie can see from the outside as the flames rapidly spread upwards from the four main support beams of the establishment, greedily eating away at the structure despite the chilling night air outside. Bystanders started to gather to witness the event, all watching in horror. However, the Volt might notice a ashen Rhino showing among the crowd, a unfamiliar sigil resting on his back that looks like a raging black spiral. The Rhino shoves through the crowd with a Jat Kitag in hand, heading towards the door of the Dunged Frostleaf. Stopping outside of it, he swings his powerful weapon back for more momentum, aiming to slam it against the frame of the door and crumble it.~
July 18, 2018
Geordie
He watched in shock as the Rhino slammed his hammer into the
doorway. There were still people inside!
Frantically, he looked for
another way in - and out - and settled on the windows of the second
floor. He took one last look at the Rhino, committing the strange sigil
to memory before leaping for the upper window, trying to plot out a good
route to rescuing as many as he could. He stuck out an elbow and busted
through, landing in a roll as best he could in the room he found himself
in. Lightning again dancing around his feet, he rushed nimbly down the
stairs with a shield of electricity at the ready.
Geordie aimed a
bolt of electricity at the ember with the intent to stun, then looked
for the nearest people he could try and assist.
July 19, 2018
~As Cyrus drew nearer to Enya, she didn't stir. The ceiling above her was a different story however. It gave a small groan.~
July 20, 2018
Cyrus:
"Oh Void oh void oh void," Cyrus whispered to himself
as he approached Enya's body. He took a deep breath, almost
embarrassed in this chaotic, life-endangering situation as he wrapped
his hands around her slender body. "Carrying a hot, passed out
woman from the bar," Cyrus chuckled as he carried Enya towards the
door.... which promptly collapsed as a rocket powered hammer smashed
through the frame, causing the archway to collapse down and block the
way out.
"Well guts," Cyrus cursed. He turned around and
plodded back through the flames towards the bar- there may be a back
exit to get out of!
Halcyon:
"Cyrus!" His brother called out, his voice slightly
deeper and synthetic through his helmet's speakers, "Need the
bubble here! The bar's central computer- it's got that Cephalon
Palak in it! Extract 'em in a datamass and we can go!!"
Cyrus:
"What?!" He yelled over the flames, "Why do we
need the cephalon?!"
Halcyon:
"Well, why did we need the woman?!"
Cyrus:
"Are you stupid??!! The woman is a real person!!"
Halcyon:
"No, all you want is to get laid!! And for pleasure reasons,
I'm going to save the one cephalon that actually knows how to make
my favourite voiddamn drink correctly!! Now, get over
here!!!"
Cyrus:
Thanks to his exoskeleton, Cyrus managed to trudge through the
hellscape-like interior of the bar with Enya in his arms and the
nullifier pack on his back. He made his way around the bar and into the
back room, where the fire was still present, but much less fierce. There
it was- the central computer. Palak was no doubt still conscious, just
with no way to communicate with the former patrons.
"You daft
fathermucker, why did you need the nully?! You can literally just pull
Palak out with a datamass!"
Halcyon:
"It's not that simple, varmink-brain! The datamass
terminal is protected by a razor energy field! Use that bubble to bypass
it!" He yelled at Cyrus and slapped his hands together for
punctuation.
Cyrus :
The bubble-enclosed Corpus laid Enya down against a storage crate
gently before reaching for the datamasses in the nearby terminal.
~Geordie can see a old unconscious Corpus lady, lying against the
bathroom door, there is blood on it from when she was flinged by the
blast, probably hers but in all the chaos the Tenno probably
doesn’t have time to see as to where she’s bleeding from. He
should move quick if he means to as the creaking from the top floor
starts getting louder, the whole structure can come crashing down at any
moment! However, before he has the chance to move he will hear a
desperate voice yelling out to him~
Hoodlums
Upon seeing the Volt suddenly appear from the staircase, the two
friends cowering behind the flipped table quickly yelled out to him. The
more elegantly dressed one extends his arms towards Geordie, yelling
“Tenno here! Please!”
Ember
Her attention wasn’t on her surrounding at all so she was
pleasantly surprised when a electric bolt zapped through her abdomen,
making her flinch in pain and drop the still unconscious blonde haired
Tenno, who landed back on the floor with a loud thud. Her light blue
fire cracks loud in furry as her head cranes to look towards the Volt.
She lifts her hand to fire a bolt towards him but before she could a
blue blur flies towards her, crashing in to her right side, throwing her
on the floor.
The blue blur, as it appears, is none other
than Sonera’s Wukong that tackled the Ember to the floor and is
now on top of her, holding her in a intense hug so tightly that the
Ember struggled against it, unable to break free. In pure annoyance her
flames increase in temperature and volume but the Wukong doesn’t
let go, instead bloop sounds can be heard as Defy gets popped over and
over.
Sonera
“Go go! Take as many!”
I holler to the
Volt, gritting through the painful sensation raking across my front and
arms. The flames spill from the Ember in my embrace, burning the flesh
of my Wukong very rapidly.
“Surprised? HEH!”
I
smirk at the Ember and in turn she let’s out a frustrated scream
as she’s unable to free herself from my locked embrace no matter
how hot she burns. ”Oh! She’s surprised alright!” If standard warframes could show expressions, I have no doubt
that this Ember would be showing shock right now…or rage? BLEH!
Emotions not my strong suit!
“Oh don’t mind
the two fishes wrestling on the floor, it’s totally normal, just a
friendly hug”
I muse out with a laugh as she managed to
flip our positions, with her on top but that doesn’t change
anything, she’s still held tightly in my embrace despite her
increasing her fire with each passing second. I still absorb most of it
but it’s not helping the establishment any, it’s soon to
crumble.
She screams again and I flinch at the loudness of it
since her head is practically next to my ear. ”Crap, I can’t hold too long…too hot and my
Defy…” I hear it plop again, the heat burning through faster and
faster, my Wukong loosing the paint job and the penetrating intensity
starting to seep through the surface metal, to the flesh beneath the
frame. My gaze drifts to the people inside and I grit my teeth ”Hold on hold on! Till it’s empty!”
And I tighten my hold, clenching my teeth and hoping my
Defy lasts as long.
~The data terminal proved little resistance as it was removed, but as
soon as the cartridge exited the port without the mandatory security
check a small beeping sound can be heard as well as the terminal
switching from green to red lights. Whopsie!
One of the
security pods in the room activates and from it a Hyena PB model drops.
The machine whirrs to life with orange energy and it cranes it’s
neck towards the trio, observing the situation. However, it
doesn’t attack them, instead it walks over to them and stops,
waiting. Seems like Palak is helping them from somewhere.~
Geordie
Hearing the two hoodlums calling for help, Geordie sprinted
towards them, keeping the shield of electricity between them and the
(currently restrained) ember. "This way!" he said, grabbing
the man's extended hand and pulling him to his feet, helping up the
second quickly before ushering them towards the stairs. "That way!
Go to the window! Go!" he commanded.
Turning back to the
room, he spotted the old corpus lady against the door and dashed over.
He scooped her up in his arms and, thinking fast, handed her off to the
hoodlums. "Get her to the window! I'll be ready for you
outside!"
In his last scan of the room, he spotted the
unconscious blonde tenno, and slid in close to grab him(?). Yanking him
away from the struggling warframes, he sprinted up the stairs and hopped
out the window. Geordie used one hand to grip the window frame, lowering
himself about halfway down the wall and latching on with void energy,
ready to help the hoodlums and the old lady down safely to the
ground.

Enya:
Enya’s consciousness slowly returned to her. She had taken
quite the hit when that Ember fired off its heat wave at such close
range, but she was experienced enough in battle for that to have not
taken her out for long. Raising her head weakly, she attempted to force
her wariness back into her mind. The woman’s bleary eyes made out
the back of a Corpus wearing an exoskeleton and pulling datamasses from
the nearby terminal. It was Cyrus.
Enya tried to call out to
him, but all that escaped her mouth was a groan and a gasp. While most
of the force of her fall had been taken by her suit, she still felt pain
and bruising throughout her body. An effort to push herself to her feet
only resulted in dropping half-way up in a pile of huffing and
gasping.
July 23, 2018
Halcyon:
The elder Corpus whirled around to face the Hyena, with an Arca
Sisco in hand that seemingly appeared from nowhere, but relaxed when he
saw it not charging at them.
“Palak...? You in there?”
He exhaled. “If you can hear me, uh... nod your head or
something.”
He glanced at the datamass. It must have a signal
transmitter built in so that the Cephalon could control the proxies
remotely from such a small unit. That would be helpful.
Cyrus:
Cyrus paid little attention to the Hyena, but immediately after
pulling the datamass out he rushed to Enya’s side, his exoskeleton
whirring loudly as he crouched next to her.
“Hey, take it
easy, you took a hit from a Tenno full force. Here, do me a favour and
take this,” he passed the datamass lightly into her lap before
moving in to pick her up again, “and we’re gonna get the
Void outta here.”
~The fire had continued to eat
through the structure, with their room beginning to fill with smoke that
obscured vision. Cyrus’ Bubble protected Enya from the smoke while
the two Corpus Bros were protected by their helmets.~
Hoodlums
The duo quickly stood up to their feet to scurry up to the second
floor. The big one stopped as the Volt handed the unconscious lady
towards them, he grabs on to her bridal style and follows after his
elegant comrade up.
The room upstairs is nothing like the
main bar, it’s much smaller, cramped and even dimmer in lighting
which would make it almost completely dark if not from the light
emitting from bellow. There is a huge octagon shaped wooden table in the
middle of it and eight chairs all pulled up to the straight points of
the unpractical looking table. There are many pictures and projections
lined against the walls, most of em showcasing old days on Venus, some
mid battle pics, the mines, the struggles and etc. There is a small
nightstand against the left wall and on it some alcohol and other casual
pleasantries. The window, which is the only one in the upper room,
is big and facing the street bellow.
They stand to the side
and watch as the Volt comes charging through with the charred blonde
haired Tenno in hand. The big one hands the lady over to the Volt before
he helps his skinnier friend over.
-Various sirens and alarms
are blaring from outside, looks like the fire fighters are on their way.
However, it doesn’t look like they’ll make it in time as the
flames eat away at the foundation, the roof starting to collapse on the
top floor – first in smaller chunks but larger ones are soon to
come - the supporting beams creaking and giving in.-
Ember
She screams as she sees the Volt grab on to her target and head
up. No matter how much she struggles she can’t seem to break free
from the Wukong’s tight grasp.
“You will regret
this! You won’t escape us again! Foolish monkey!”
She
hisses at the Wukong
Sonera
I grin, laughing at the Embers words, even through all of the
pain that’s searing through my frame, all critical and danger
signs just blaring in the back of my mind. I take a quick look around
the bar and see that the Volt evacuated those that still live. I still
have no clue what happened to the Corpus bros and the nice lady but I
have to assume that they’re either out or on their way towards it. ”Great great! Perfect time to bolt!”
I was just about to let go of her and dash up myself but
then I felt her snake her arms around me, she returns the embrace,
locking her arms around my waist and stops struggling.
“For
old times”
I hear her whisper in my ear and turns the
fire to max, now burning uncontrollably, almost making a hole on the
ground around us. CRAP! I can’t wiggle out!
Panic!
-The
trio in the room behind the bar will notice the enormous amounts of
smoke that is seeping thought. The fire almost reaching to the alcohol
stash which will blow this whole building sky high. The floor above them
is creaking, breaking, collapsing slowly, pieces of flaming splinters
falling down.
The hyena doesn’t comply to Halcyon,
instead it heads towards the farthest wall in the room, the farthest
from the door and the flames. And stands there, looking through it for a
moment as if looking for something invisible. It let’s out a
series of mechanical whirrs, as if talking to the wall, but nothing
happens. Annoyed it stands up on it’s hind legs as it starts
tapping across the wall with it’s front ones, looking for
something on it. There is a emergency exit here but the wiring must have
gotten fried and it’s not complying.
The hyena spews
out a set of buzzes and clicks, speaking and saying to anyone that
understands the mechanical language.
“Damn it! I should
have not bribed that inspector, should have let him do a complete sweep
of the place. Now where is that latch!?”
A quick doodle as to where everyone are currently
From outside perspective of the shitleaf
Gerodie
After helping the hoodlums down, Geordie released his grip on the
wall and landed quietly on the ground, carrying the two unconscious
people out of the range of possible falling debris. Glancing around, he
realized Cyrus and his brother were nowhere in sight. Shit!
Orange-gold
sparks danced around his feet once again as he parkour'd back up the
side of the building and leapt through the window. He deftly made his
way through the room and down the stairs, looking around for Cyrus.
Spotting his nullifier bubble, he called out over the flames.
"Cyrus! This place is about to be leveled! You need to get
moving!"
Geordie tried to extend his speed boost to the
two prodman brothers, but found the nullifier in the way. "Not much
I can do to help! Just get out of there!" he yelled, dashing
outside yet again to check on the two injured people he had already
brought out. Shit shit shit....I don't have medical supplies for this....
July 24, 2018
Enya:
Enya’s vision still swam in the midst of her sudden
vertigo. She managed to vaguely grasp the situation they were now in.
Incredibly grateful for the rescue, the corpus woman held onto the
datamass with what strength she could muster. She thought of activating
her suit’s anti-Tenno measures, but that might only paint them as
more of a target. The best thing to do now was slide out unnoticed,
assuming the Tenno inside weren’t chasing after them. She relaxed
her muscles and let her body sink into Cyrus’s grasp.
July 25, 2018
Cyrus:
“Alright, let’s get the Void outta here!” Cyrus
hoisted Enya up, and moved towards the door.
Halcyon:
“Cyrus! Hold up! That way is too dangerous! The structure
there has gone to guts!” He pointed at the Hyena.
“You
still remember how to decipher proxy communcation
oscillations?”
Cyrus:
“What the muck? I haven’t been in school for like
years, bro! How the void am I supposed to remember that?!” He
shifted the woman in his arms and grunted in frustration. “Ok
I’ll give it a shot... it said... ‘Me... should not.... buy
person...?’ Oh my Void this is impossible...”
Halcyon:
“FASTER, YOU VOIDDAMN NIDUSRAG!!” Halcyon shouted as
he dodged sideways, a piece of the ceiling crumbling into the floor
where he had been standing. Visibility was getting worse by the second,
and Halcyon could feel the heat.
Cyrus:
“Okay okay! Uhh.... ‘he should objective brush of
land, where is location of latch?’? I think?” Cyrus’
mental lightbulb lit up.
“Latch! He’s looking for a
secret enterance, or in this case exit!”
At this,
Halcyon rushes over next to the Hyena and helped it to feel along the
wall for whatever it was they were looking for.
July 26, 2018
As Halcyon taps against the left section of the surface he will feel a
light bulge against the upper left corner of the wall and upon closer
inspection it turns out it’s a nipple sized button that melts with
the pain perfectly, if one doesn’t know where exactly it
it’s hard to find, luckily it’s not perfectly hidden. When
pressed, the wall stirs awake, slowly opening. Praise! Bless this
smuggling entrance! But then the door jams as it opened enough for a
Kuaka to slip through and nothing bigger, most possibly stopping due to
the failing mechanisms.
“Frosted dicks!’
The
hyena hisses and starts pushing the doorway apart, the machine sparks
and strains but it seems to be working, the door is opening!
Just

The whole building let’s out a rumble as
the roof collapses on top of the first floor causing a gust of fire and
heat to waft towards the alcohol. The building will explode in 8

“Go
go!” The hyena whirrs as it keeps pushing the door open but stands
a bit to the side for the trio to escape out in to the fresh midnight
air.

Outside, the people that the Volt has rescued were
being taken care of by someone from the crowd that just happened to be
some sort of field medic. He has helping the old woman, her wounds on
her head seemed serious but the good Samaritan wrapped it up with
patches of his own clothes.
While the half crisp blonde Tenno
was left lying on the floor, the two hoodlums crouched next to him and
the big one out of the two pokes the Tenno, trying to see if he
lives.
Meanwhile, at the back of the crowd, there stood the
ashen Rhino with his arms crossed over his chest and leaning against a
nearby street light, silent and as steady as a rock with the Jat Kitag
strapped on his back, just observing the burning building.
1
BOOM
Geordie
The green volt crouched next to the crispy blond tenno, one knee
on the ground as he checked for a pulse. His back was to the building
when the upper floor caved in, but he ducked down and covered his neck
with his hands when he felt the rush of heat. He glanced back, watching
the inferno rage behind him, praying that Cyrus, Halcyon, and anyone
else left inside had made it out in time. Calculating how much he could
do to help, he decided to quickly attend to the crispy tenno first.
Quickly,
he lifted the tenno and moved him to a spot with more snow, packing it
around his burns to cool them and keep the flesh from getting damaged
any further. He motioned the hooligans over. "What are your
names?" he asked, repeating their names back to make sure he got
them. "Alright, good. Can you do me a favor and keep an eye on this
guy until-"
He was interrupted by the massive explosion.
He swore, turning to stare at the remains of the frostleaf. He
hadn't seen Cyrus and the others make it out! Frantically, he pulled
out a scanner and searched for the silhouettes of the others from the
bar.
July 27, 2018
Enya:
Enya could’ve helped Halcyon and Cyrus with the mechanical
translation as her helmet had a feature to roughly translate its
dialect, but they were both done the procedure before the Corpus lady
could muster the brain-waves to communicate. She found it pretty
impressive that Cyrus had memorized it in the past however.
Enya kept fighting to stay awake as Cyrus carried her
out.
Cyrus:
"OH SHI-" The building erupted just as Cyrus lept
through the doorway, following his brother. Halyon rolled forwards into
the snow as the shockwave pushed him forward, his yellow jumpsuit
sliding across the icy ground as if it were a sled. Cyrus' Nullifier
bubble couldn't take the punishment, the blue energy field
dissolving like the ice nearby the flaming tavern. Cyrus threw himself
forwards with the blastwave, shielding Enya from the debris and heat-
after all, Cyrus still had an additional layer of protection underneath
everything else he was wearing.
Halcyon:
"Cyrus!?" The old Corpus Sniper got up, gold painted
helmet shimmering in the citrine light. "Bro! You okay?!"
Cyrus:
He groaned as he got up, making sure Enya was okay first.
Fortunately the snow had cushioned them enough to prevent serious
injury. "Void, I'm fine..." Cyrus grit his teeth
underneath his helmet. There was definitely a bruise somewhere on him.
"That was nowhere near as bad as the time we raided Luxor Forge
with Kapak, remember?"
Halcyon:
He couldn't help but grin. He helped his brother to his feet
before looking at a barely conscious Enya. "So are you going to be
stupid and take advantage of a nearly passed out girl, or be a good
person and get her some help?"
Cyrus:
"Well, now that you mention it-"
Halcyon:
The yellow Corpus slapped the side of Cyrus'
helmet.
"You muckin' Skate sphincter! Pick her up and
bring her to the front of the building. It looks like there's people
there- bunch of Solareans and Tera Crewmen. Someone there will be able
to help."
Cyrus sheepishly obeyed and the trio, followed by
Palak's Hyena, rounded the flaming wreck of a bar to find the other
people.
July 28, 2018
The hyena would have been caput if wasn’t built so sturdy. The
back of the machine caught most of the blast and some of the wiring got
fried but it seemed to function well enough to walk…well limp, as
it’s left hind leg got totaled. It followed after the trio
mumbling all kind of curses under it’s breath ranging from
“Stupid Tenno” to “Stupid loan” to “Stupid
Anyo” Dept isn’t supposed to be this chaotic. The hyena, as
it limped behind the two Corpus bros, looks towards the data mass that
one of them held and spoke up in cracking whirs
"[Robotic]Thanks
for pulling out...my backup is in a worse condition[Robotic]"
The
hooligans look towards the Volt as he picked up the scorched Tenno and
carried him over towards a cushion of snow. The explosion made them
freeze up and they instinctively hug each other, like old lovers
awaiting their death. But as soon as they didn’t feel pain they
opened their eyes and the elegant one punches the big one away, mumbling
something about how dare he?!
Jal’piki
The bigger one of the two, nudges his comrade and smiles
“Dat wus sum wild thang ey? Gosh! I kuld go fer a drink
now!” He chuckled
Kili’ka
The elegantly dressed one looks towards his friend and frowns
“Ya cracked? De best pub yust blew up! Nah! E’ll just
-“
The conversation was cut short as the Volt turned to
them to ask for their names and they did so, stating simply.
Kili’ka let’s out a groan as the Tenno asks them to look
after the crisp one
Kili’ka
“Greit! Now ve on babysitt’n duty” He flailed
his arms but walked over towards the blonde Tenno and crouched next to
him
Jal’piki
“Come nuv! He did save us…” The big one
dressed in loose fitting clothes spoke up as he crouched next to his
friend. “Dis one the worse” He says as he eyes the serious
burns on the Tenno’s face, the flesh almost melted off at one
point. His hands are no better and under the torn and burnt clothes
there are many wounds just like it.
Rhino
The Rhino stands as still as ever, watching the ruins of the
establishment. Everything is leveled, apart from the Atlas warframe that
is still standing in the position it froze in despite the chaos that
went around. He sees no sign of any other frames making him let out a
deep rumble from within, like a growl. His attention snaps to the left
as officials have finally arrived at the scene, fire fighting and medic
proxies accompanied by two or three members of the Corpus peace keepers
that start writing down and asking some of the people in the crowd as to
what happened.
Not liking the crowd and heat the Rhino pushes
himself off the pillar he was leaning on and silently starts walking in
to the darkness.
Geordie
“Just...just for a moment while I go make sure my friends
are alright.” He said offhandedly to Kili’ka and
Jal’piki as he put away the scanner and hurried towards Cyrus and
the others.
“Oh, void, I don’t know how you made
it out but I’m glad you’re alright. This way, there’s
a guy helping out with the injured people.” He said, ushering
Cyrus towards the man helping out. “You were cutting it kinda
close there. It would have been kind of an awkward reunion.”
As
an afterthought, he gave a polite nod and small wave to Halcyon.
“Uh, I’m Geordie by the way. Sorry for the
yelling.”
July 29, 2018
Enya:
Enya instinctively tucked her body and held tight to
Cyrus’s suit as the explosion triggered. He was easily wearing
seven times the protection she had on, and it served to shield her
perfectly. After a couple of tense moments waiting for the debris to
settle, Enya released both him and the datamass she carried and rolled
onto her stomach to relieve her back of pain. Her senses were still
groggy and dulled, the voices around her were distant and muffled. As
she lay sprawled, the Corpus woman could feel them slowly coming back to
her.
Enya wanted to get up and move for herself, but loopily
decided it was better to accept Cyrus’s help until her condition
could be properly examined.
Halcyon:
He nodded at Geordie, continuing to eye the crowd.
Cyrus:
“There was a back door,” Cyrus said as he carried
Enya next to Geordie, “Palak manned that Hyena and showed us the
way out. Lucky for us, eh?”
He laid Enya down on one of the
bedroll-style things that had been laid into the snow for the injured.
“I think she’ll be okay. The Nullifier field took most of
the hit.”
He sighed as he unstrapped the device.
Halcyon:
“Oh for Void’s sakes!” Halcyon exclaimed,
“bro, look at this muck!”
Cyrus:
“Aw, Void,” he looked at the Nullifier emitter, which
was now bent funny, and the bottom portion partly melted. It must have
not survived the residual heat of the explosion once the bubble had
popped.
“Fathermucker! This was an old model too! They
literally don’t manufacture these types of Nullifier units
anymore! All the modern ones use deplorable drones to project the field.
This thing was vintage! Muck!” Something in Cyrus’ voice
seemed to say that he knew it wouldn’t be repairable.
Halcyon:
“At least we’re alive. Maybe now that that thing is
dead, we can look into making that Arctic Eximus field emitter that
you’ve always talked about. You know, using parts from a
Lenz?”
Cyrus:
“We’ll talk about that later. Uh, sir! Excuse me! My
girlf- this lady here needs some medical attention!” Cyrus waved
at some of the helpers who were tending to the wounded.
Halcyon:
Halcyon sat down slowly, clutching at his hips as he sat down.
“Guts,”
he swore, “even my robotic voiddamn hips are starting to ache
these days. I sure wish Kapak knew how to heal conditions like
arthritis!”
August 13, 2018
The firefighters wrestled with the raging inferno that is slowly
regressing in intensity, what luck that it did not spread to the
buildings nearby or else this surely would have been a disaster for the
whole sector…despite the freezing conditions.
One of
the emergency staff, that was tending to a sprained ankle among the
crowd by someone who flopped backwards due to the explosion, lifts his
roboticall head towards Cyrus before glancing towards the woman in
question. He twirls his head back to the boy he was tending to and
smiles, assuring him that it’s not a big injury. The lithe part
human and part robot helper, gets up and quickly scurries over, holding
a little box of field medical supplies. He crouches beside the lady and
lowers the box next to him while projecting a digital smile on to his tv
like screen - that is his head.
“Anything
major?”
He asks Cyrus with a whirr of the speech cogs
as he starts undoing her helmet (if it can be taken off) to determine if
she suffered any head trauma and also probing along her torso, poking
gently along with cold metal hands to determine the severity of her
injuries as best as he can though her cloth.
Palak
The hyena watches his beloved establishment, letting out a
defeated sigh…and down the debt hole we go, deeper and deeper
still…gonna take a couple of thousand to rebuild all of
this…if the grant goes through.
The medical staff
rushes over towards the crisp Tenno, pushing aside the two hooligans to
make room for the carrying drones.
Geordie
Seeing the medical staff start attending to the crispy Tenno,
Geordie gave the two hooligans a thumbs-up to let them know they were
good to go. He turned back to Cyrus & co.
"Well, I
don't know about you two, but my day's plans have been trashed.
What are you guys planning? I might like to come along, if it's
interesting enough." he asked, still staring in awe at the remains
of the Dunged Frostleaf. "Man. That place really got leveled,
didn't it..." he muttered thoughtfully.
August 14, 2018
Enya:
The dull-white helmet resisted the medic’s attempts of
unlatching it at first. During investigation, he couldn’t find any
trigger or switch that would allow it to open from the outside, despite
showing a good amount of seemingly random moving parts along the
outside. Enya languidly raised her bruised arm up to rest on her breast.
Her adrenaline had started to calm down and each movement in her arms
and back brought a wincing pain. She mustered up a lot of strength and
willpower to push her hand up on the underside of her helmet,
disengaging the locks and allowing the helmet to be pulled away over the
top of her head.
When the medic did so, he exposed her
surprisingly unharmed face to the cold Venus air. Her fair-white skin
was kissed with only a very light tan, the result of continued use of
her suit. High cheekbones and small nose adorned her profile along with
eye-shadow whose origins were unable to be distinguished from either
mascara or a lack of sleep. Faded green eyes peeked out from behind her
weary, half-opened eyelids, catching sparkles of the raging inferno they
had left behind. Dirty blonde hair furled down her back with frayed ends
showing signs of a poor haircut, or perhaps a self-administered one.
“Could…
r-move… arm-r..” the lady shakily whispered.
August 15, 2018
Cyrus:
“Yes! Absolutely! We should remove her armour! We should
actually take it all o-“
Halcyon:
There was a resounding clapping noise as the elder Corpus
delivered a powerful slap that only a brother could gift to a
brother.
“Just make sure she’s okay,” Halcyon
said to the medic, half exasperated and half legitimately concerned.
Cyrus:
Cyrus was hypnotized by the now unmasked woman. He managed to
shake free from his beauty induced trance for a moment and reach out,
taking Enya‘s hand in order to offer some semblance of comfort.
“You’re
gonna be fine. We made it out alive.”
Halcyon:
The yellow-suited Corpus stood up, walking next to the cephalon
possessed Hyena and Geordie as he took off his aureate helmet.
“Well,
I don’t have a voiddamned clue what I’m gonna do next, to be
honest Georgie. Or was it Geordie? Anyways, who was that, even? That
Ember? Palak, you got competitors or something?”
August 16, 2018
Medic
The medic halts as he sees the lady shakily lift a arm towards
her helmet, letting her dislodge it from it’s clasp. As soon as
it’s undone, he carefully pulls it off her and lays the head
protection next to him. With cold mechanical fingers, he gently grabs
her by the chin and moves the head to see if all is functioning or if
anything is straining to the movement. Finding out that everything up
there is in order he let’s her go and moves to her front. Her
slurred speech causes him to lift his monitor like head towards her
“Arm?”
He
looks down to her arms and then at his field medic kit. Opening it he
grabs a Clotra Stim and turns to Enya.
“This will speed
up regeneration”
He gives the vile a shake and a flick
before gently lowering the Stim against her bare neck and with a stiff
hiss of the aperture administers the medication in to her system. Enya
will start to feel the effect almost immediately, like a new found vigor
cursing through her.
“Slowly now”
He
will grab her by her other hand and attempt to lift her up in to a
sitting position, all the while feeling along the arm to determine any
breakage.
Palak
The Hyena whirred as it turned to look towards Halcyon, letting
out a very rusty and clogged jumble of mechanical sounds that can only
be interpreted as something akin to a laugh.
“Most that
I have I keep on the payroll, you know, for business…but none
Tenno…none that I know of. That Ember was a first, never expected
it”
He hummed under his breath as he looked back at his
establishment, the firefighters starting to walk among it in search of
any survivors. He watches as they pull out the mangled corpse of one of
the customers that didn’t make it out, flying proxies carrying him
out on a stretcher.
“Should have installed that nully
but nooooooo, I wanted to save some credits”
He said
through a click and a whir of his mechanical throat. Lifting it’s
head, it looks towards the Volt and nods it’s head down the road
that leads towards another outpost
“If you want fun
there is a good place there…not as good as mine
but…”
He glances back at the Dunged Frostleaf
and simply ends his line with a simple “…yeah” cause
what else is there to say? His work got destroyed…talk about a
lousy day.
---The fire settles, almost gone, apart from a few baby straglers but
they too will soon falter. Officials rummage through the crumbled
building, some of the more powerful proxies carrying out the still
frozen Atlas, probably on to the sell pile.
“We got
another one!”
Yelled out one of them as they cleared
what was once the main floor of the Dunged Frostleaf. Out from the
rubble, they pull out a unresponsive Wukong with it’s energy out,
the blue color burned in to a ugly mixture of charcoal and melting metal
and with something organic oozing from it’s innards through
it’s slits. They drag it out and flop it on the snowy ground on
it’s back, where it lands with a heavy thud, lifeless.---
Jal’piki
“Heyo…neva knew a warframe culd get like dat eh?
Looks like even they bleed.” Said the beefy wall of a Corpus as he
stood up, giving the medical team some space to carry out the scorched
Tenno.
Kili’ka
“Psh, gut em, all but trouble those are” He swished
his left hand in the air in a frustrated manner and turns to walk away,
his big pall following close behind.
Geordie
"Uh, yeah, it's Geordie..." he replied, trailing
off as he watched the ruined wukong being dragged from the rubble of the
Dunged Frostleaf. "Void...that one took quite the hit. You think
the tenno's still alive?" he asked, unable to look away.
"I
hate to say it, but it doesn't look like they were targeting the
building. It looks like that ember was after specific people - specific
tenno. That crispy one I dragged away from her could have been her
target. I think the rhino who broke down the door was with her, but he
got away. Any sign of the ember in there?" he asked, wrenching his
gaze away from the wukong to peer at the rubble.
August 18, 2018
Enya:
Enya released a small, airy gasp as the injection was delivered
and unconsciously grasped Cyrus’s hand tightly in one hand, and
pulled at the icey gravel with the other. Her slow fall from her
previous daze to unconsciousness was immediately halted, and began to
reverse. She could suddenly feel the cold air against her skin. Hear
slowly fading roar of extinguishing fires in the distance. The jumbled
and muffled words she had been hearing others speak now grew clearer as
the medic gently brought her to a sitting position. The serum worked
fast.
Enya finally noticed she was holding Cyrus’s
hand and swiftly pulled it back from him, embarrassed at the innocent
gesture. The movement made the girl wince. Meanwhile, as the medic
examined her arm he was quite surprised to not find any broken bones,
just incredible bruising.
“Ack, that sum-skat
wasn’t playing around. I probably should’ve died in
there.” Enya spoke with a light chuckle, trying to grasp humour so
she could take her mind away from the pain.
August 21, 2018
Cyrus:
Cyrus couldn't help but smile that Enya was alright, even
despite her withdrawl of her hand.
"Thank you, sir,"
nodding to the camera-headed medic. He turned back to Enya and grinned,
supporting her back with his hand.
"Lucky thing that I
happened to be in the same bar as you when this all went down, huh?
Almost like destiny," he said with a wink.
Halcyon:
After listening quietly and attentively to Palak, he nodded his
head sagely. He stroked his moustache, exchanging a glance at
Geordie before refocusing on the Hyena.
He frowned thoughtfully,
running his fingers across his chin. He hummed in agreement, then
wrinkled his moustache in disbelief.
He pondered Palak's words
before saying:
"I have no VOIDDAMN idea what you said. I
don't speak proxy."
As he turned away from Palak and the
Tenno, he spotted the Wukong.
"Hey! You folks there!" He
called out as he approached the medical team, "you fellows know
what you're doing with that Warframe?"
August 23, 2018
Medic
The medic chuckled, sending out a wide range of bubbling digital
noises from his monitor like head.
“You lucky
indeed”
He glances towards the destroyed building and a
digitized frown pulled across his monitor
“Also a sad
day”
He closes his med kit and stands up, seeing as how
the lady didn’t have any severe damage. The half robotic man
stands up and let’s out a sigh “You kids better scramble,
not a place you want to hang about…especially now.”
He
will tip his head towards the trio and turn to walk to tend to the other
injured.
Palak
The hyena stops, freezing at the Corpus’ outburst.
“BAH!” The proxy slaps it’s head with one of
it’s front paws as if realizing something that’s so pretty
obvious. Don’t they have universal translators?! Ahhh! Fek it! He
lifts his head and heads towards one of the officials that are going
around collection stories from the people around. He wants to relay his
side of the story, to make it good that it wasn’t his fault and
maybe he’ll get that grant. Ayo…can’t go back to the
mines!
Worker
One of the firefighters stop to look towards the approaching
Corpus and quickly stands in front of him as if to block his way and
stop his advance further. He wasn’t that tall nor buff but his
mechanical legs look like they could do some damage. The dull blue
colored half-machine cranes his heavy square screen head towards the
Corpus and says in a ruff digital tone.
“Prolly gonna
go on the scavenger pile like de others.”
He points
with his left human hand towards a nearby pile where the Atlas already
stood, accompanied by the other machinery that were inside the pub like
the moas and drones.
“Yours?’
The tone
in his voice wasn’t friendly at all as he looks up at the Corpus.
If he had a face his brows would be furrowed and a deep scowl would be
in place, as if daring him to say yes.
---However, before the
Corpus has had his chance to reply the Wukong’s energy whirrs to
life, bright green pulling down from his helmet. And in a matter of
seconds he quickly holts up in to a standing position, the biological
ooze continuing to seep through every little slit in the frames design
as it’s more of a gooey paste now than solid. However, it
doesn’t look like it’s fully operational as it’s left
leg gives in and it stumbles down on one knee, obviously struggling to
do anything basic…like standing---
Sonera
“Volt! You there!”
I scream in to the
public Tenno coms with heavy urgency plaguing my voice, hoping he was
hooked up to it. I try to get my Wukong to stand up but to no avail,
some circuits are fried and the infected mass that is the essensse of
the frame is all but alive. I lift my Wukong’s head to gaze at the
medical staff that is pulling the burnt Tenno away, heading towards one
of the vehicles.
“Hhhhh take him! He not safe BZZZZ
with them!”
My Wukong stands up and I smile, letting
out a “HURRAHH” In excitement but once again he crashes
down, flopping face first as if I slipped on a wild banana peel that
threw me forwards.
“HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHEK!”
---The
scavenger crew continued the search the pub for any other survivors but
so far they’re only clearing the debris and putting everything in
their respective pile…no sign of the Ember anywhere…which
is unnerving.---
Geordie
"I got him! Don't worry!" Geordie responded
quickly, splitting away from Cyrus and Halcyon and dashing towards the
crispy Tenno.
"Wait!" he yelled, putting out his
hand to signal the medical staff to stop as he rushed forward.
"This Tenno is with me. Let me take care of him."
Without
waiting for a response, he carefully scooped up the burnt Tenno and
carried him back to where the Wukong was struggling to stand.
"Okay, I got him, what do you want me to do? He's burnt to a
crisp. Unless you're a Vazarin user we can't do much to help
him. You're not in great shape either."
He adjusted
the position of his impromptu charge so he was holding the unconscious
Kiddo in one arm, using the other to offer a hand to help the Wukong up,
keeping his arm out as a support while the other frame continued to
falter. He looked around frantically for anyone else he could trust to
ask for help. "Uh....Cyrus, Halcyon, one of you two!" he
called, hoping one - or both, void permitting - would be able to help,
"I could use a hand over here!"
August 24, 2018
Enya:
Enya rolled her eyes at Cyrus’s sly advances with a smile.
The man really was too much, but she kind of liked that. As the field
medic turned away to deal with other patients, the Corpus woman found
herself once again in need of transportation assistance to the nearest
medical bay.
“Well don’t duck out of your
mystical purpose just yet, I still need better medical treatment. I
can’t just shrug these wounds off you know,” she said,
gesturing towards her bruised arms and torso with her gaze, “Can I
get you to give me another ride?”
August 27, 2018
Cyrus:
“Yeah, babe you can ride m-“ Cyrus stopped and
winced, instinctively expecting Halcyon’s stern palm to strike him
on the back of his head. But it never came.
He glanced behind him
and spotted the Tenno, melted Warframe and Geordie.
“Hmm.
Let’s quickly pop on over there and see what’s going on.
It’ll be quick!”
Cyrus scooped up Enya once more, his
limbs emanating another soft whirring noise as his exoskeleton
compensated for the added weight. He sauntered over to Halcyon just as
his brother was approaching Geordie.
Halcyon:
“Guts, that smells like Sargus Ruk’s anus, good
Void!” Halcyon wrinkled his nose as he stood next to the Wukong,
the wrinkles in his face multiplying as he scrunched it up.
“Ugh!
Bleh! I knew Warframes had synthetic flesh or something, but this is
ridiculous!”
He shuffled uncomfortably as the gooey meat and
other less organic, hydraulic fluids leaked onto his yellow
jumpsuit.
August 29, 2018
Sonera
“Hhh…yes yes! If I can only just – “ I
try to balance on top of these noodle legs, or at least hold on one knee
but nope. Nothing is working as intended and I can feel the flesh
beneath the frame scream in silent pain and protest, unable to repair
the damage. I grit my teeth, furious at the state of my beloved Wukong ”Too excessive, she will pay, yes she will, yes!”
I tilt my head as I notice the Volt give a helping
hand and I hoist one of my trashing limbs to grasp it, appreciating the
assistance as I use the leverage to hoist myself up to a wobbly stand. I
glance at the fried Tenno and smile, my Wukong’s charred and
melted helm mimicking it as best as he can. ”Good good, not empty handed this time”
“Yes yes! Thank you. Now come, need to bounce.
FAST!”
I will start pulling him towards one of the
craft landing site that is just a couple of paces from the pub, but in
my current state a couple of paces can pretty much be 20km so his help
and the help of the Corpus will be greatly needed. I look over my
shoulder to the others and nod my head towards them
“Can
come if in need of lift…not safe here”
My gaze
then falls to the woman as one of the Corpus bros is carrying her
“Got
medical supplies too…but simple”
I twirl my head
upwards to spot a spiffy chroma and green colored Scimitar that is
starting to decent near the landing area.
Geordie
"I certainly hope you have medical supplies. This tenno is
in bad shape," Geordie commented, adjusting how he held the crispy
mystery person. Orange-gold sparks again danced around the feet of
everyone in the group, as Geordie gave them all a speed boost. He
continued to offer his free arm to support the Wukong.
I'm not meant for this kind of thing... he mused silently as the group approached the landing area.
Realizing he likely wouldn't be boarding his own ship, he radioed
his cephalon to wait in orbit until further notice. Somewhat
reluctantly, he followed the battered group to the Wukong's ship
instead, hoping for an explanation for all this once they were
onboard.
August 31, 2018
Enya:
Enya rolled her eyes at the delay, moving her entire head with
the motion and bringing it to rest on Cyrus’s arm. The woman
figured she’d excuse him for now, the stim from earlier was still
holding her pain well under the surface.
Cyrus:
“W-w-w-whoa!” Cyrus laughed as his feet carried him
forward and blinding speeds. He’d never run this fast before! Yet
his legs didn’t tire, nor did his exoskeletal legs break. He did
his best to brace Enya- last thing she needed was whiplash from this
little run.
Halcyon:
“Hup!” Halcyon fared with less fortune- his arthritis
riddled hips did not take kindly to the speed boost. He grit his teeth
and bore it though, and kept up behind the others.

Enya:
“Wai--” Enya began to say as Cyrus took a step
forward, but it was too late. The Corpus went careening forwards, losing
the friction beneath his feet.
“Stop!” Enya
yelped. She fumbled around for the helmet in her lap and hurriedly
shoved it over her head, not even bothering to secure the fastening
mechanisms.
“Scram.”
With that one
blurted word, the helmet whirred to life. A fuzzy static noise shook the
bones of both the lady and Cyrus as their run slowed down and normal
friction returned. Sonera and Geordie found themselves without the use
of one movement ability for a duration of three seconds.

Cyrus:
Cyrus stumbled for a moment before coming to a stop. "Hey,
why'd you do that? We were having fun!"
Cyrus looked at
the helmet and 'ahhh'd'. "Ahhh, a modified Scrambus
helmet, huh?"
Halcyon:
The older Corpus didn't take too kindly to the sudden
deceleration. He flipped forwards and onto his back, thankfully taking
the snow-covered ground as a cushion. "Oh! Ouch! My poor prosthetic
spine!"
---As soon as everyone boarded the landing craft it closed up and
whirred up, whizzing out of Venus. Inside it’s pretty cramped
since it’s a craft meant for up to two or three inhabitants but
lucky for the fellas Sonera’s crafts are always more spacious than
the rest for uh…reasons!
It didn’t take more
than a min for the craft to reach Sonera’s Orbiter which was
blending in with the darkness of space quite well with it’s coal
paint job. As it latches on to the Orbiter it will open it’s lower
hatch and the gang will drop down inside the Orbiter, right in the
middle of the 3 door hallway. The interior Is colored in dark blue and
emerald, the accents reflecting a little bit of dark purple. The ceiling
of the entire Orbiter is all covered with sprinkles that in the darkened
ship mimic the wild array of stars.
As soon as the group
drops down, the Wukong shuts down completely, limply smacking down on
the floor face first assuming nobody was holding on to it. A second
later the operator door hisses open and the lithe form of the little
Tenno appears with a white tutu wearing Charger and a Ancient with a
purple feather hat standing behind her.---
Sonera
I
glance at the Volt and step to the side, motioning to him towards the
transference chair
“There there, put him there it will
recover him”
I quickly go around everyone and kneel
down beside my Wukong, my face scrunched up with worry behind the
Grineer mask. I motion to the two infested friends to come and pick him
up and they carefully scurry around everyone towards him, not wanting to
spook anyone. The Ancient grabs hold of his arms and the Charger hoists
him up with his back. The duo then swiftly stagger towards the infested
room. I glance at the Corpus bros and woman
“Uhhh, I have more Stims, will help with healing but…if
it’s too much to fix I can always plop you in the Helmith cryo pod
and see how it goes, eh?”
I point with my thumb behind
me, towards the door through which the two specters carried my Wukong
in.
Geordie
"Oh, sorry. I wasn't intending that to be for running.
It makes walking faster too, you know." Geordie said apologetically
as he found himself slowing to a more natural speed. He sighed, having
hoped a small speed boost would help them all trudge a bit faster onto
the ship.
The green Volt had been attempting to help support
the Wukong, but as soon as they got on board and it shut down, he could
only watch in surprise as it faceplanted. However, he quickly figured
out what was going on when Sonera emerged from the room he knew
contained the Somatic Link. Geordie nodded at the instructions and
slipped past the specters with the crispy Tenno still slung over one
shoulder. He approached the chair and waited for it to open before
carefully lowering the Tenno into it.
"Alright, he's
settled in there for now," Geordie said as he returned to the
group. "I'd really like an explanation, though. What was with
that Ember? And the Rhino?"

Enya:
“Don’t you know how to treat a lady!?” Enya
exclaimed, lightly pushing Cyrus’s jaw to the left. “Take it
slow.”
It was then that Enya realized their
destination. A Tenno landing craft. She squirmed a little in
Cyrus’s arms, the thought making her a little uncomfortable. But,
she did need medical attention, and an orbiter might be the best place
to get it.
The three room hallway was familiar to the woman.
She didn’t visit one too often in the past, but had seen it enough
to get her acquainted with the layout. Even if the particular owner had
made major design changes.
She’d never seen one dress
up specters though.

Cyrus:
"Wow!" Cyrus exclaimed as he looked around, still
carrying Enya in his arms. "I've almost forgotten how clean a
Tenno's Orbiter usually is!" He glanced at Halcyon.
"Y'know, because his Orbiter is so... well..."
Halcyon:
"...messy, I know." Halcyon grunted as he pushed Cyrus
slightly towards the Infirmary.
Cyrus:
"Oh Void, I don't want to go in there-" Cyrus
whined as he faced his brother. "If that place is anything like....
well, I mean, the Tenno just mentioned Hel-"
Halcyon:
"Just go! You know that this place won't be anywhere
near as unsettling as Kaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaap......tain Puck's ship.
Stop being a kuyyy and go!"

Sonera
I pause as the Volt mentioned a Rhino, the tops of my fingertips
running cold from the new found information ”Ah! He was there…bad…very day!”
“Ahhh….well…they are a follower
of a cult I kind of am errr…stalking”
I
nod towards where the Volt carried the charred Tenno to
“He
was part of it but tried to escape from em…guess she was coming
to drag him back”
I lift my left hand to scratch my
cheek in a nervous manner. They’ve become bolder than I
remember…never thought they’d do something in public like
that. The game is changing! Of course I’m not really sharing the
entire truth but for a couple of randoms I’ve met at the bar this
should be enough. ”No need to twirl them in to this, yes? No need, no need, already
complicated!”
I lift my emerald eyes towards them all and smile, nodding
my head as I say in my hyper voice.
“They’re not
the kind to let anyone go.”
I will walk ahead of them
as we head towards the infested room. Upon opening the gang will see the
previous seen Charger and Ancient trying to put the Wukong in the chair,
lifting the frames hands and legs to put them in place.
As I
walk past the Ancient on the left, I tap him on the back and continue
down towards the med bay.
The infested room is just as any you’d see in the Orbiter,
apart from the sprinkles across the ceiling and the peculiar
concentration of a wide variety of noggles just lined up on any flat
surface in the room excluding the glass floor. I quickly reach to scoop
up the noggles that have been put along the cracked med bed and gently
put them on the floor.
“Errr….you can put her
down here”
I motion towards the bed
“No worry, won’t hurt, just scan and try to
heal”
I tell her.
Geordie
"Uh...a cult. I see. Well, he's safe now, but
there's no way they're gonna let this slide. I didn't mind
helping but if this is going to be an ongoing thing, I'd like to
duck out while I still can."

Enya:
Enya fidgeted nervously in Cyrus’s arms. She wanted to get
away from the Tenno as soon as possible. They seemed like decent people,
but she knew far better than to judge so quickly. Some of them could
smile to the very moment they left you for dead.
It
wasn’t a pleasant mindset, but one she was too scared to live
without.
Cyrus:
"Oh Void," Cyrus spoke, wrinkling his nose in disgust
upon entering the room. "Nowhere near as nasty as his, but still
just as icky!" Cyrus brought Enya to rest inside the little pod.
"I
wonder why K- um, Captain Puck doesn't use this thing instead of
cutting you open and stitching you up with your own meat," Cyrus
said offhandedly to his brother.
Halcyon:
"Probably because his is already filled with infested meat.
Putting someone in there on his ship would be the equivalent of shoving
someone into a giant stomach!" he chuckled heartily.
Cyrus:
He frowned for a moment, then turned his attention to Geordie.
"Gonna
leave? Well, I guess most the excitement's died down for now, thank
goodness. This was really supposed to be a relaxing day for us, but oh
well. Tell you what, friendo! I'll give you our comm channel
passcode so you can hit us up anytime! Just send a transmission when you
need our help with stuff! Or if you just want to hang out, watch some
Index or something, eh?"

Sonera
I turn to speak to them, my eyes bouncing from one to the next
“So
so, seat up, heal up, wild day for sure! I don’t have liquor but I
have maprico juice! ON THE HOUSE!”
I lift my hand up,
waving it at the infested specters as they finally set my Wukong atop
the chair. They then quickly scurry outside.
“Hit me up
with your locations, will bounce you there. AFTER! We play a round of
“guess the picture” EH?!”
I smile, almost
bursting out in a laugh as I can’t contain my thrill. Finally!
Someone else to play with!
Geordie
The green volt nodded. "Sure thing! I have a fair amount of
time on my hands right now so I'll probably take you up on that
offer to hang out some time soon. I do have one small thing I've
been planning for a while, but there are a few factors out of my
control, so I'll let you know when it all falls into
place."
