~As Disruptis moved towards the center of the room, the nature of this scene came into sharper relief, the injuries of the Grineer as numerous as they were gruesome. Some were missing heads, others had been eviscerated, their torsos and vital organs reduced to lumps of bent metal and meaty paste. Others still, though rarer in number, had been ripped in half, their other half no doubt somewhere else among the carnage. The sheer number of bodies seemed to thin towards the true center of the room, replaced with small piles of spent casings littering the floor.
Isa detected no other threats around the room, but a faint glimmer caught her eye. Within the discarded casings at her feet was a shotgun shell, but conspicuously not of Grineer make. In fact, the design looked more Orokin at a glance.
Disruptis dipped into the back of one of the corpse’s heads with his plasma sword. It fizzed open, revealing an interior devoid of a brain. He repeated the action to two other corpses nearby and found the same thing.~
Disruptis:
“No brains,” Disruptis remarked, “this is looking a lot more like our target now.”
